SCHOOL OF NURSING AND O.T AWARDS TO OUR TEAM OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS FROM CASAVERDE MERIDA
Our Occupational Therapy team from CASAVERDE Mérida Rehabilitation Hospital, had been awarded with an honorific distinction granted by the University of Extremadura – School of Nursing and Occupational Therapy, for their collaboration in the development of the clinical practices programme of their students.
On 9 March the feast of San Juan de Dios, the School’s patron, was celebrated in Cáceres, where different acts took place, including a keynote speech about “Psychiatric diagnosis and discrediting of mental patients” given by Dr. Germán Pacheco Borrella. Then, the students with the best academic record were recognized and honoured by the award.
The act was chaired by Mr. Juan Carlos Preciado Rodríguez, the Vice Chancellor of Quality of the University of Extremadura, in the presence of the University’s Dean, faculty and students. After receiving a certificate and a plaque, our Director, Francisco Javier Rubio and our colleague and Occupational Therapist Verónica Lobo, intervened and thanked for the given award and explained our working model, with special emphasis on the commitment of Casaverde with the University and the professional training.
We want to reiterate our appreciation to the School of Nursing and Occupational Therapy of the University of Extremadura for this distinction, and specially, to professor Mª Trinidad Rodríguez Domínguez, Academic Secretary, for her treatment. We also congratulate our Occupational Therapy team for their work and effort.
